What is group therapy?

You and a group of 6-10 others will meet together with an expert group therapist that specializes in helping you reach your relational goals. Each member has a chance to share and receive feedback and support, as well as offer insights and connection to others. Everyone agrees to maintain confidentiality and respect for others in the group; that way, you can feel free to be yourself.
The therapist acts as the group guide by maintaining fairness and balance, spurring conversation, identifying patterns of communication, and highlighting important concepts. The focus of group therapy is to help you learn about yourself, practice authenticity, and apply insights from your life and from individual therapy. People who do group therapy also benefit from individual, as it offers a chance to process what happens in group and vice versa.
